Nice to have the board back!
I am optimistic about the Bengals beating the Bears this weekend. While the Bears have put up some impressive numbers on the defensive side, the offenses they have played are nothing like what the Bengals bring to the plate. I see a similiar scenario as in the Vikings game.. Bengals get a lead, and pour it on, and just blitz blitz and then blitz the rookie Qb.
Go Bengals!

Who dey! Another great win.. Not the offensive juggernaut they had been in the first two games, but I'll take a win no matter what. Of course, I do think the holding call on Chad that negated the TJ touchdown was totally bogus. And they got get those penalties under control.. but hey.. in the end, it's a win, on the road no less. Bring on the Texans!

I like the Texans being next. It's not a challenge, but it'll be 4-0 for the Bengals for the first time since....

Matt, I have been a Bengals fan far too long to not think of a team as a challenge Hopefully the guys think the same way. But I will say, if Bengals play like they have been playing, and the texans play like they have been playing.. Bengals will crush them. Apparently the Texans O-line is extremely suspect.. woo hoo! Go Bengals! Bengalerik

Yeah, should be no problem. I think the Texans will be a tough contender in the future, but right now not so much. However, you're right. They shouldn't be taken lightly no matter what their record is or how they're playing.

Yet another ugly win, but will take it! Curious to see how the o-line responds to the injuries. And we have GOT to get those penalties under control! Which I know Marvin will. I dont see any reason why the guys cant win in Jacksonville..
Go Bengals!

I agree. But I'm getting tired of at least that with Marvin. I appreciate everything he's done without a doubt. But this penalty thing is going a little too far. After they had the whopping 17 several weeks ago, he said in an interview that they were caused because of forcefulness, so he wasn't worried about it. It kind of made sense, but at the same time, you can be aggressive without getting penalized for it.
And now when the game is coming down to the wire and you could easily be up by more than a field goal if only you didn't get so many penalties, then you have a problem. And they have a problem and Marvin needs to stop taking this lightly and get on their asses about it.
And I think that they definately have another win coming in Jacksonville, but if they don't clean up their act I think the first loss of the season could be there instead.

I post even after losses I think the loss of the starting center hurt us more then the loss of tj. Less penalties this time around, but still too many. I did seem today that were alot of penalties called in all of the games.. I wonder if the nfl decided to much more strictly enforce things. I didnt expect the guys to go undefeated, and there is no shame to losing to the jags in jacksonville. It will be interesting to see how the respond after a loss. Hopefully get TJ and Braham back. And get Madieu back in the secondary.. And Carson.. another great game.. under alot of pressure.. in the world of what ifs, if not for the fumble we win. Now to watch the mnf game and root for the Chargers to beat the Steelers Go Bengals! Bengalerik

I havent had a chance to fully preview the Bengals Titans game, but I did read the words "shaky secondary" in reference to the titans, so that makes me happy! And obviously, if Steve "got out of a dui" Mcnair's back spasms keep him out, that will have an effect on the game.. as will rather or not TJ and Madieu can play.. I predict a win, partially due to less penalties! I hope Go Bengals! Bengalerik

Good games, both of them. The Jags game was a great game. Even though we got the loss, I think it was still a good game to watch. A lot of energy from both sides. Even with the Titans game. Tons of energy, the fans were all pumped up, and it even seemed that we had some cheering going on for us in Tennessee. I think the Bengals are on the way to great things... and only 4 penalties in the Tennessee game.

The Bengals lost the game sunday more then Pitt won it. The early miscues in the red zone, and even the missed field goal, changed how the game was played all the rest of the way.
Still though, the biggest weakness on the Bengals is the D-line. Cant give up over 200 yards rushing ever.
The good thing is, Bengals are still first in place. If they can rebound, which I suspect they will, against Green Bay at home, and the Ravens on the road (whom we beat there last year), that's 7-2 going into the bye week.
Losing Williams for the season hurts us.. and hopefully Pollock will not miss more then a game or so...
Go Bengals!

Yeah, I agree. We lost that one. I wasn't even so much mad that we lost, but mad that it wasn't a better game. That's what I was expecting coming up to it as I'm sure everyone here and in Pittsburgh was expecting. It just wasn't a great game like it could've been... coming down to the final seconds. Oh well, we have another shot at it later in the season.

Woo hoo another win! I would have liked to see more points scored off of the turnovers of course, need to put the foot on the neck sooner, not even have them in the game at the end. This is the first monday night game of the season I have interest in. Go ravens! Ideally, the ravens win, but get some minor injuries About the fan who ran on the field.. he got taken down hard at the end of his run. And I bet there will be no more carts anywhere near the field again! I do seem to remember one other guy getting on the field in the past.. I do have to say though, I was embarrased by some of the bengals fans around where my season tickets are. Drunken idiots who have no clue what good sportmanship is.. or even good natured fun joking with other teams fans... Go Bengals! Bengalerik

Dissapointed that the steelers eek'ed a victory monday night.. Happy though to hear that ray "the knife" lewis and ed reed might not be playing. Of course, Carson lit them up last year when they were playing.. so we will see how it goes. And I would love to see the Pack light up the steelers Go Bengals! Bengalerik

Well, it's going to be a close year and I think it's going to come down to the second game between the Bengals and the Steelers, and nothing else. The Steelers have won the last several against us, but usually we do better there as opposed to here. So we'll see...
