WDBZ ASK THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR …. I am asking the Program Director of WDBZ a few questions, about the station, and if improvements can be made and to have a greater understanding, by asking them. I am certain I will NOT be the only person who has questions or who wants to hear the answers.
Question One:
Can the Host of the Programs get to callers in more of a timely manner? Due to the number of people calling the station, it would seem that there should be a target number of callers to get to every half hour, to every hour. With all the technology present in your studio, is there not a timer on each caller. It is understood that sometimes that cannot always be adhered to, but some type of sounder, should go off to tell a caller and Host that there caller's time is up. Some people just go on, and on, and on, with the lines full of callers, and too often the Host let them, every time they call.
QUESTION TWO:
Can the Host get to the callers immediately after a break, especially when the caller is on HOLD. As a listener and caller, we are looking at 5-10 of News, Mixed with Commercials, before the program resumes. Then, often we hear another 5-10 minutes of the Host going on and on, about the subject, when there is really no need to catch anyone up-to-date on the subject. People will update themselves as the conversation goes on. This must be an industry standard, because every Host seems to do it. People can see if there are no callers on line, but most times the lines are full. If the Host can go straight to the callers after a break …. it would make it so much better, quicker, faster, because it is a real PAIN, holding on to the phone for 45-90 minutes, for just a 5 minute conversation if that long. Lets face it, having a Head Set, and Microphone attached to you in the studio help from getting fatigue from holding a telephone to your ear for four hours. Fatigue can set in for a caller holding on fairly quickly.
QUESTION THREE:
Not everyone who calls can call on a speaker phone. Trying to hold a phone to your ear for 45-90 minutes. It can become rather annoying, so people are then prone to listen to the radio and NOT their phones, when calling. Giving people a two person advance notice can help resolve this problem. It seems that this is a Pet-Peeve of most of the Host, because so many callers do it. Many times callers are utilizing their time doing other things while waiting their turn as a caller. A simple heads up to the caller a couple of times before the Host gets to them can greatly make a difference, and improve the situation.

Question 1: Dumb, dumb, dumb! 30 seconds per caller is better?
I shall not read any more than that questions as I see no reason to think the other questions are not stupid too.

. We/She/I really DON'T .... but she does like to talk, and talk, and ttttttalk !!!!!!!!!!!! Don't Mean to Tell your Buzz-ness .... BUT ... It's just Amazing how people get behind a Computer and Blast folks they don't even know ... with Rude, "I Know Better" Attitudes, and we all are no better ;D than each other. I like you, think Jill is good for what she is good for. But I can disagree with her without being Rude and Crude. I can do the same with you !!!! And I Apologize for calling you Peanut Jim, but that is her name for you, NOT mine. I just dislike folks being RUDE over a forum to People they Never intend to meet. Anything I say over an online Forum, I will say to the same person or anyone else in person. I won't argue a point .... but .... I will debate one, on the same point. GOING TO THE BUZZ PARTY NEXT WEEK .... I WILL SEE YOU THERE .... RIGHT ? THEN You can tell people there, exactly what you are expressing on this Forum. IT WILL BE AN INTERESTING "DEBATE". And YES, you will be Safe .... So DeBate Away !!!! ;D ;D <<< J.T. >>> .

The last time I read the census James was the most popular male name in America. You assume that I'm the only person that uses 'CincyJim' to identify myself without any reason for your assumption.
Who is this broad "Jill Mathews"? I know no such dummy.
