So in other words, you have no real reason for voting for Pepper. Just as I thought. Well, what (in your mind) made Pepper the lesser of 2 evils? I think that as this goes on you will have to admit that it is that you percieve black men as evil just because they are black. If I am wrong. . . tell me what made you vote for Pepper?

White voters will vote for a less qualified candidate based solely on race. ... T.K. To paraphrase based on the election stats: Black voters will vote for a less qualified candidate based solely on race. The black candidates concentrated their efforts in black neighborhoods as the white candidates concentrated their efforts in white neighborhoods. I don't think either candidate (race) visited the other neighborhoods. Racism is alive and well in the political USA! I think this election showed that Losantiville is majority black as many claim. Only ~ four more years before it is official.

I could care less now. Honestly, the only one I was going for was Alicia, but that was even kind of a so-so thought. I think between the two our best bet is Mallory, but for me at least, between the two is now which is the lesser of two evils... The incompetents running for office ought not dissuade you from being the best voter you can. A "could care less" attitude fosters indifference.

My problem with voting is simply, I'm not going to vote if I don't have someone worth my vote running for office. I think that's the problem with today and with candidates going into any office. They know we'll vote because we feel we have the power to do so, which we do. Instead, we should be voting to better our city, state, or country which is the REAL purpose for being able to vote.
People think they have to vote because their ancestors fought for their lives just for the right to vote. That's a good reason, but I think it's overshadowing the real reason. Once we start voting WHEN there's someone worth voting for, then we'll eventually get better candidates because they know we're not going to waste a vote.
For instance, this last Presidential election I voted for Kerry. I didn't really like the man, but I wanted someone else in there other than Bush. That was my reason for voting. It wasn't because I have the right to vote, it was because I was hoping my vote would actually make a difference.
And if comes down to it, I won't vote in any election if what I have to vote on isn't worth my vote. It's happened before and it'll happen again I'm sure.
